Greetings, Learning Expressions Readers!
This week, we have an exciting event occurring at select Learning Express stores nationwide: National Sticker Trading Day! To kick-off the 2012 football season, Learning Express Toys has joined up with Panini America (the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company) to promote the 2012 Panini NFL Sticker Collection.
In every one of our September catalogs you’ll find 6 free NFL stickers to get your collection started. At these trading day events, participating Learning Express stores will also be giving away 50 free sticker books and other exciting prizes. Tables (and trash cans!) will be set out in-store so that kids can trade, peel, and stick to their hearts content.
And the best part? Once kids have filled up the NFL Sticker Album, they will be eligible to win an autographed piece of NFL memorabilia! Only the first 50 Learning Express customers to complete the album will win, so bring it in to your local store as soon as it’s complete to see if you qualify.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the 2012 NFL Sticker Collection, here are a few details. The album is 72 pages long and includes 10 FREE stickers. Each of the NFL’s 32 teams is represented with a two-page spread, including 13 stickers (including rookies) per team. There are 494 total stickers to collect, 354 of which are glossy “base” stickers, 100 of which are holographic foil stickers, and 40 of which are micro-etched stickers. The Sticker packets contain seven stickers each.
Last year, one lucky store owner was awarded by Panini America with an NFL player visit. On January 20th, 2011 Matt Forte of the Chicago Bears signed autographs for delighted customers at Learning Express of Glen Ellyn, IL.
When we chatted with Glen Ellyn owner Randy Horn about the sticker books, he told us, “The kids really liked to collect the stickers of all their favorite NFL players. Due to their low price point, parents frequently used the stickers as rewards for their kids when they met milestones or goals such as doing homework, getting good grades, or doing chores.”
At the event, Learning Express of Glen Ellyn recognized Charlie (their first customer to complete the NFL Sticker Book) by giving him the honor of being the first person to meet Mr. Forte.
This year, NFL players will be visiting Learning Express stores in Denville, NJ; Sudbury, MA; Naperville, IL; and New Albany, OH. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for details. And don’t forget to contact your local Learning Express to find out details about the Panini Sticker Trading Day!
